Tuscaloosa Police Working To Identify Attempted Burglary Suspect

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Police Department is asking the public for help identifying a suspect in an attempted burglary early Sunday morning.

TPD's Criminal Investigations Division says the attempted burglary of a home in the 1200 block of 13th Street occurred at 5 a.m. Sunday when a woman was stirred awake by a security camera notification on her phone.

TPD said the video showed the man unscrewing a flood light on the porch and attempting to open a window.

The residents also found that a window on the other side of the duplex had been opened but didn’t notice any items missing or disturbed.

Those with information as to the identify of the suspect are asked to call (205) 349-2121 or submit an anonymous tip through the TPD app.
