The library says the Repair Cafe concept is a growing global movement that encourages the repair, rather than disposal of, everyday items such as clothing, electronics, small appliances and more.
"We are excited to launch our first Repair Cafe at the Tuscaloosa Public Library," Adult Services Librarian Kayla Sikes said. "This event underscores our commitment to sustainability and community engagement. It's an opportunity for people to learn new skills, connect with neighbors, and contribute to a more sustainable future."
