Tuscaloosa's David Hill Tapped For Alabama Private Investigator Board

TUSCALOOSA, AL — David Hill, owner of Alabama Investigative Services, has been elected to the Alabama Private Investigator Board by members of the Alabama Private Investigators Association.

The board is responsible for overseeing all individuals seeking to become private investigators in the state. Its duties include reviewing license applications, ensuring applicants meet state legislative requirements, and hearing complaints filed against investigators.

Hill began his investigative practice in 1995 and has been active in several professional organizations, including the Alabama Private Investigators Association, the National Association of Investigative Specialists and the National Defender Investigator Association.

Hill has also been recognized as Best Investigator in West Alabama seven times and was twice listed in Who’s Who.

In 2025, he was named Investigator of the Year by the National Defender Investigator Association.

Hill is married to Anita Hill, and they have five children and five grandchildren.

He is a member of New Beginnings Family Worship, where he serves as a deacon and Sunday school teacher.
