This year’s event emphasizes charitable giving, with organizers encouraging participants to donate unwrapped toys and toiletries to benefit Turning Point of Tuscaloosa — a local nonprofit that supports individuals affected by domestic violence and sexual assault.
“The opening ceremony sets the tone for SantaCon,” Event Director Daniel Di Bona said. “It’s a time to come together, celebrate the holidays, and make a difference for those in need.”
