Tuscaloosa Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Holly Whigham told Patch that the initial call of the blaze on 40th Avenue came in shortly after 1 p.m. Friday.

When crews arrived at the scene, smoke was visibly showing from the structure.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
