The average GSR for all NCAA Division I student-athletes is 91%.
Unlike federal graduation rates, UA says the GSR takes into account student-athletes who transfer to a school and excludes those who leave while academically eligible.
“These results demonstrate the University of Alabama’s commitment to success on and off the field,” Deputy Director of Athletics for Compliance and Academic Support Mike Ward said. “Behind every Alabama jersey is a young person equally committed to excellence in the classroom.”
Here's a look at some of the highlights:
- Football posted a record-high GSR of 97%, leading the SEC for the first time and ranking third nationally among Power Five teams. This marks the 16th consecutive year Alabama football has placed in the top four among SEC schools.
- Men’s basketball earned a perfect 100% GSR for the 10th straight year to lead the SEC.
- Eleven programs achieved perfect GSRs, including men’s and women’s golf, gymnastics, rowing, soccer, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, softball, women’s tennis, and volleyball.
