UA says the event will spotlight high-impact projects and initiatives that often go underfunded, encouraging donations of all sizes to support the University’s students.
Among the funds featured will be Alabama REACH Program Support Fund — money that assists undergraduate students from foster care backgrounds, legal orphans, kinship guardianship care, or who are homeless.

Bama Blitz raised more than $5 million last year and has brought in over 11,500 gifts since its inception.
UA said matching gifts and incentive-based challenges will also return this year, with Bryant Bank pledging $50,000 if the campaign reaches 1,300 donors.
"Education remains one of the most powerful vehicles for positive change in our communities," Bryant Bank President Claude Edwards said. "Funding these programs opens doors of opportunity for deserving students who will become tomorrow's innovators, leaders, and problem-solvers. We're proud to partner with The University of Alabama in this important mission and encourage others to join us in making a difference through their own contributions."
Other "Crimson Countdown" challenges will reward units with the most early participation, including $1,500 in scholarship funding for units receiving the most gifts during the opening hour and an early morning sprint from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. on April 16.
