The Postal Service says the initiative is part of its 10-year plan, “Delivering for America" — originally published in 2021 to guide the transformation of the USPS from an organization in financial and operational crisis to one that is self-sustaining and efficient.
USPS says Postmaster Nikki Warren-Burton and her management team will be in attendance at the job fair to share information about employment opportunities and to assist with the online application process.

The Postal Service said it is presently seeking Rural Carrier Associates (RCAs) and Assistant Rural Carriers (ARCs) in Cottondale, Brookwood, and West Blocton.
Starting pay is $20.38 an hour.
Officials said Rural Carrier Associates will have to be able to work a flexible schedule and be available to work throughout the week — Sunday through Saturday. This employee is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail, along with working when regular carriers have scheduled days off or vacation days.
An RCA is also responsible for selling stamps and supplies, while also addressing customer inquiries about their mail delivery service.
RCA applicants must have a valid state driver's license, in addition to demonstrating and maintaining a safe driving record.
At least two years of unsupervised experience is also a requirement for RCA applicants, along with a personal vehicle suitable for delivering mail and packages
An Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC) is tasked with delivering and collecting packages along routes in rural areas and will provide a variety of services to customers along an assigned route.
The USPS says successful applicants may be required to provide their own vehicle for transportation.
ARCs may also opt to provide service to your community on weekends and holidays or up to seven days each week.
