TUSCALOOSA, AL — A West Blocton man is dead following a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Alabama Highway 5 in Bibb County.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) says the fatal crash occurred at approximately 4:35 p.m. when the 2021 Honda CBR3 motorcycle driven by James C. Hosmer, 34, collided head-on with the 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz driven by a man from Hueytown.

ALEA said Hosmer was pronounced dead at the scene, which was approximately seven miles north of Centerville in Bibb County.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
