Woman Dies After Being Attacked By Pack Of Dogs In Tuscaloosa County
The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a woman is dead after being attacked by a pack of dogs on Boyd Road Thursday morning.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — The Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit says a woman is dead after being attacked by a pack of dogs on Boyd Road in Tuscaloosa County Thursday morning.

Captain Jack Kennedy, commander of the multiagency unit, said Friday morning that the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff' Office, NorthStar, Echola Fire and Animal Control responded to 13000 Block of Boyd Road on a medical call around 9 a.m. Thursday.

Kennedy said dispatch received a report that a woman was being attacked by a pack of dogs in front of the residence.
"Deputies arrived and attempted lifesaving measures, but the victim did not survive," Kennedy said. "The incident occurred in the yard and on the property that the dogs belonged to and the victim came to the residence to feed the dogs for the owner who was out of town."

Kennedy said this doesn't appear to be a criminal incident and no additional details will be released out of respect for the victim's family.
