YMCA Men's Club's Annual Christmas Tree Sale To Kick Off Nov. 14

A local holiday tradition returns next month when the Y's Men's Club launches its annual Christmas Tree Sale on Friday, Nov. 14.

TUSCALOOSA, AL — A local holiday tradition returns next month when the Y’s Men’s Club launches its annual Christmas Tree Sale on Friday, Nov. 14, in the Bowlero Bowling Center parking lot across from MidTown Village on McFarland Boulevard.

The sale, which has been a Tuscaloosa staple for decades, will once again feature Fraser firs ranging from six to 11 feet, shipped directly from North Carolina.

The popular variety, native to the Appalachian Mountains, has been displayed at the White House more than any other type of Christmas tree.

All proceeds from the Christmas Tree Sale benefit the Tuscaloosa YMCA, helping fund youth sports, senior fitness programs, and Day Camp scholarships.

“We were very pleased with the quality of last year’s trees and there will be no price increases — so shop early” chairman Bill Holeman said.

Tree lot hours:

  • Opening Day: Friday, Nov. 14, Noon–8 p.m.
  • Saturdays: 9 a.m.–8 p.m.
  • Sunday–Friday: Noon–8 p.m. (Closed Thanksgiving Day)
