First Day Of School In Vestavia Set For 2021-22 School Year
Vestavia Hills City Schools announced that August 10 will be the first day of school for all students.
VESTAVIA HILLS, AL — The 2021-22 school year is just around the corner, as Vestavia Hills City Schools announced that the first da fo school for all students will be August 10.
For students in kindergarten through fifth grade, August 10 will be a special “Meet the Teacher Day” only. Elementary schools will welcome students and families back into the buildings with the opportunity to visit classrooms, walk the halls, and spend time getting to know teachers and classmates.
Schools will provide each family with a specific appointment time for “Meet the Teacher Day” based on alphabetical order. Parents will receive an email from their student’s school with a specific appointment time.

Extended Day Program services will not be available on August 10.
For students in sixth through twelfth grade, August 10 will be a regular, full day of school. All students in all grades will attend school for the full day on Wednesday, August 11.
