Earthquake Strikes Alaska's Aleutian Islands
The earthquake struck at 6:39 p.m. about 35 miles from Umnak, one of the Fox Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

ALEUTIANS WEST, AK — A magnitude 4.0 earthquake struck the western side of Alaska's Aleutian Islands chain.
The earthquake struck at 6:39 p.m. about 35 miles from Umnak, one of the Fox Islands, the U.S. Geological Survey said. Umnak is about 890 miles southwest of Anchorage.
