  1. An upcoming film festival is offering youth filmmakers a chance to show off their work. After School Special is a youth film screening organized by Alaska Teen Media Institute. Filmmakers 21 and younger can submit short films that will be viewed in the Anchorage Museum at the Rasmuson Center as part of the Anchorage International Film Festival on Dec. 10th. Submissions close at midnight on Nov. 29. (Alaska Public Media News)
  2. The Anchorage Airport is encouraging travelers to be prepared during their upcoming holiday travel. According to a release by the airport, the predicted increase of passenger numbers will bring longer lines at check-in and security, and more congestion at curb drop off and pick up. The federal mandate requiring masks inside the airport is still in effect, so plan accordingly by bringing masks and wearing them over the nose and mouth. (kinyradio.com)
  3. Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. has announced upcoming events, Light Up Downtown: Holiday Tree Lighting and Small Business Saturday. On Nov. 27, this year's celebration will kick off at 5:00 pm with Mayor Dave Bronson lighting the holiday tree in Town Square Park.
