Woman reported missing is found dead near Anchorage's Basher Trailhead (adn.com) — Anchorage police say 28-year-old Kaitlyn Kaganak, reported missing earlier this month, was found dead near the Basher Trailhead off Basher Drive on Friday. Detectives are still investigating and believe some people may have information about her disappearance and death, urging anyone who knows more to contact APD or leave an anonymous tip with Anchorage Crime Stoppers.

'We're all going to die': Alaska Airlines passenger accused of trying to open cabin door midflight (ktvu.com) — An Alaska Airlines flight from Deadhorse to Anchorage ended with passengers restraining a man who allegedly tried to open the cabin door midflight and shouted that “we’re all going to die.” After landing in Anchorage, he was taken to Providence Hospital, where he reportedly described heavy drinking and hallucinations, and now faces a federal charge that could bring up to 20 years in prison.

Depth delivers again for SWDP boys as they claim second straight state wrestling title (adn.com) — Alaska’s top high school wrestlers wrapped up the ASAA state tournament at the Alaska Airlines Center, where the Student Wrestling Development Program repeated as Division I boys champions.
