• Western Alaska Disaster Relief Fund distributes over $3.3 million in Halong aid (kyuk.org) — Napaskiak is among the Y-K Delta communities receiving part of more than $3.3 million in disaster relief after Typhoon Halong, helping with housing repairs, essential supplies, and emergency aid. Additional funds are supporting winter travel gear, replenishing subsistence food, mental health and violence-prevention programs, and Lower Kuskokwim School District students, with several Bethel-based organizations coordinating the assistance.
   

• Y-K Delta mushing season kicks off with Season Opener sprint race (kyuk.org) — Napaskiak gets a shout-out in the first big mushing race of the season, with local musher Spyridon Chaney taking second in the K300 Season Opener sprint from Bethel to Atmautluak. Fifteen teams raced the 32-mile trail, and organizers are already gearing up for the Holiday Classic on Dec. 20, with details and registration available on the K300 website.
