ADOT’s Transpo Conference Reaches Small, Disadvantaged Businesses
ADOT's Tucson conference aims to give owners of small or disadvantaged businesses an edge when it comes to competing for highway work.
ARIZONA – ADOT’s Tucson conference Oct. 22-23 aims to give owners of small businesses and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) a leg up when it comes to competing for federally funded highway work.
Held at the Casino Del Sol resort at 5655 W. Valencia Road in Tucson, the conference’s theme is “The Spotlight Is on You.” Conference activities include orientation for prospective and new DBE companies, learning about ADOT’s business-building programs, and 15-minute “speed” meetings with prime contractors and agencies to help attendees compete better for federally funded transportation projects.
While the ADOT conference focuses on owners of small businesses and DBEs, all business owners are welcome to attend, as are all public agencies, community partners and vendors looking to succeed in transportation.
