ATC Hosts Second City Producer On Weekly Podcast

Jon Carr, who in December was named Executive Producer of the legendary comedy institution, Second City, will join Arizona Theatre Company Artistic Director Sean Daniels on the ATC podcast Hang & Focus at 4 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (Arizona time), Friday, March 5.

The podcast can be seen at www.arizonatheatre.org.

Carr, formerly the artistic director at Atlanta-based Dad’s Garage Theater, where Daniels was among its founders in 1995 and served as its first artistic director, is a seasoned improviser, performer and award-winning playwright.

Carr had been part of Atlanta’s creative community for more than 15 years.

Among his creative accomplishments:

• Audience Development Manager at Alliance Theatre.

• Founded United Atlanta Improv to help improv theatres around Atlanta come together through collaborative works.

• With his Dad’s Garage improv group, Dark Side of the Room, worked with the Center for Civil and Human Rights performing across North America.

• His original play, Black Nerd, was awarded the 2018 Suzi Bass award for Best Original Play.
