Tokyo Olympics: See Which Arizona Athletes Made The Cut
Several Arizona residents will compete in the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, which kick off Friday. Here's who will represent Team USA.

ACROSS ARIZONA — Nine Arizonans are on the ground in Tokyo preparing for the start of the Olympics.
The Games, which kick off with Friday's opening ceremony, run through Aug. 8 in Japan's capital city.
The athletes will compete in a variety of events ranging from archery to cycling to diving and beach volleyball.

The Grand Canyon State residents are among the 621 members of the country's Olympic team at the Tokyo games.

- Eric Bennett (archery) from Surprise.
- Brad Ellison (archery) from Globe.
- Brandon McNutty (cycling) from Phoenix.
- Dejah Mulipola (softball) played college softball at the University of Arizona.
- Delaney Schnell (diving) from Tucson.
- Corben Sharrah (cycling) from Tucson.
- Sarah Sponcil (beach volleyball) from Phoenix.
- Aliphine Tuliamuk (track and field) from Flagstaff.
- Chloe Woodruff (cycling) from Prescott.
Those who want to watch the athletes can do so at varying points during the Games, with McNutty, Sharrah and Woodruff's cycling races running from Friday through Wednesday.
Mulipola and the U.S. softball team will compete in the six-team Olympic tournament, held between Wednesday and Tuesday.
For Schnell, the Olympic diving events run from Sunday through Aug. 7.
Bennett and Ellison's archery events run from Thursday through July 31. Tuliamuk's track and field events take place between July 30 and Aug. 8.
For Sponcil, the Olympic beach volleyball tournament will have its preliminary rounds between Friday and July 30, with medal matches running from July 31 through Aug. 6.
