• Avondale Police Detention, Substation & K9 Training (officer.com) — Avondale’s new Police Detention, Substation & K9 Training facility in Old Town has earned a national design award while expanding local public safety capacity. The modern complex replaces the older Western Avenue site, adds a dedicated K-9 training building, improves flood protection, and can safely house up to 34 detainees, strengthening services for nearby neighborhoods.
