• 2 charged in check thefts (redrocknews.com) — Residents in Camp Verde and across Northern Arizona are being warned after two men were arrested in an alleged check-washing scheme that stole outgoing bill payments from blue postal boxes. Investigators say at least 15 victims and over $15,000 in losses are tied to similar incidents in Cottonwood, Sedona, Rimrock, Camp Verde, Cornville, Prescott Valley and Flagstaff, and urge anyone with missing checks to review statements and contact police.
