• Peoria educators receive classroom grants from Wishes for Teachers (yourvalley.net) — Two Peoria teachers just received $2,500 Wishes for Teachers grants to upgrade their classrooms at Centennial High and Santa Fe Elementary, directly benefiting local students. The statewide program awarded $1.5 million to 540 Arizona teachers, supporting everything from STEM tools to arts and cultural materials at a time of significant teacher shortages across the state. 
• Woman arrested on child abuse, other charges after fight at Peoria home (azfamily.com) — Peoria police arrested a woman after a late-night domestic disturbance near 77th Avenue and Paradise Lane, where a child was reportedly assaulted. Investigators say she also provided a marijuana vape to a minor and damaged property, and she now faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges while being held on a $25,000 bond.
