3 Charged In March Death Of Teen Found On Road In Ahwatukee: Police

Anthony Covarrubias was found shot and laying on the roadway in Ahwatukee on the evening of March 7, according to police.

PHOENIX, AZ — More than a month after the victim's death, three men were arrested in the March 7 slaying of Anthony Covarrubias, according to Phoenix police.

Alberto Jimenez, Michael Parham and Tyshon McKenzie were all arrested last week in connection with Covarrubias' death, police said.

Parham was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder, armed robbery, possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and narcotic drug possession.

Covarrubias, 18, was found shot and laying in the road around 6:25 p.m. March 7 in the 4400 block of East Dry Creek Road, according to police. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries, police said.
