4 Killed, 3 Injured In A Deadly Weekend In Phoenix: Police
From Friday through Sunday there were two double shootings in Phoenix that each left one dead and one injured, and 2 more deadly shootings.
PHOENIX, AZ — Last weekend was another deadly one in Phoenix with four people killed from Friday through Sunday, and three more injured, according to Phoenix police.
The chaotic weekend included two double shootings, each leaving one person dead and a second person injured.
The slayings began early Friday, when a security guard went to check on a man he thought was sleeping near 7th Avenue and Camelback Road but soon discovered that the man was dead, police said.

The 62-year-old man was found around 7:30 a.m. Friday, and had suffered what police said was significant trauma to his head and face. He died at the scene, police said.
Around 2 p.m. Friday, a 34-year-old man was shot near 13600 N. 35th Avenue, according to police. The man died at the scene, police said. Joseph Macias, 19, was arrested on suspicion of homicide in connection to the shooting, according to arrest records.

A 35-year-old woman was killed and a 32-year-old man was injured Friday evening in a double shooting in the 2600 block of West Cactus Road, according to police.
Nissa Thomas and the man who was with her were both taken to a local hospital for treatment, police said. Thomas died from her injuries but the man was expected to survive, police said.
Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, a 21-year-old man was shot and critically injured in the 9800 block of North 18th Avenue, police said. The was was taken to a local hospital where he was in extremely critical condition on Sunday, police said.
Around 11:15 p.m. on Sunday, a woman and a man were shot near 27th Avenue and Tuckey Lane, police said. The woman, Tokeita Renee Johnson, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
