PHOENIX, AZ — The Arizona Diamondbacks are hosting a Native American Recognition Day at downtown's Chase Field on Sunday.
The event, which coincides with the team's matinee against the Chicago Cubs, aims to recognize Native American communities in the U.S. Southwest, through cultural and educational displays and exhibits, the team said.
In addition, the team will host a pregame ceremony on the field, starting at 11:30 a.m., where the D-backs will recognize multiple Native American tribes in the region.
