Arizona Gas Prices Hit Record High: AAA
The average cost of a gallon of gas in Arizona blew away the previous record on Tuesday.
PHOENIX, AZ — Gas prices in Arizona reached a record high on Tuesday, at an average of $4.29 per gallon. That blew away the previous record, set in 2008 when the average gallon of gas cost $4.09 per gallon, according to the American Automobile Association.
Arizona saw the largest one-day increase out of all 50 states from Monday to Tuesday, according to AAA, with an increase of 16 cents.
However, Arizona has dropped out of the top 10 states with the highest gas prices in the country. California topped the list on Tuesday, at an average of $5.34 per gallon. But Arizona still tops the national average, which came in at $4.17 per gallon on Tuesday.
