Arizona Has Some Of the Worst Drivers In The Nation: Report

Arizona was ranked as having the 8th-worst drivers in the nation according to a report from Car Insurance Comparison.

PHOENIX, AZ — Arizona has some of the worst drivers in the nation, according to a new report from Car Insurance Comparison, a free online auto insurance resource.

Arizona ranked eighth-worst in the nation for its bad drivers. Contributing to Arizona's spot on the list were its rates of careless driving and its death rate.

To determine the rankings, Car Insurance Comparison researchers reviewed data from each state on: death rates per 100 million miles driven in the state, failure to obey traffic laws, careless driving, drunk driving and speeding. The data came from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Arizona ranked poorly for its pedestrian death rate, its cyclist death rate, and its overall car accident death rate, according to the study.
