PHOENIX, AZ — The best neighborhoods in the Phoenix metro area are Ahwatukee Foothills, Chandler and Scottsdale, according to Niche's new list of best places to live in 2022.

The new Niche listings for best places to live in 2022, with rankings both national and local, were released on Monday.
Niche creates its annual Best Places to Live rankings using data from the U.S. Census, FBI, Bureau of Labor Statistics, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, in addition to resident reviews, according to a news release. It also considers factors like affordability, the housing market, diversity, public schools and walkability.
Here are Phoenix's top 15 best neighborhoods, according to Niche:

  2. Chandler
  3. Scottsdale
  4. Gilbert
  5. Desert View
  6. Paradise Valley
  7. Paradise Valley Village
  8. Litchfield Park
  9. Tempe
  10. North Gateway
  11. Deer Valley
  12. Fountain Hills
  13. Peoria
  14. Queen Creek
  15. North Mountain
