Body Found In Fire, Man Found Trying To Put It Out Arrested: Police
The body found in the fire had "obvious signs of trauma," and a man at the scene was arrested on suspicion of murder, according to police.
PHOENIX, AZ — The body of a 33-year-old man who had suffered obvious trauma was found in a house that was on fire Saturday afternoon, according to Phoenix police.
The man who died, found in a house near 51st Avenue and Encanto Boulevard, has not yet been publicly identified.
Ishmael Williams, 32, was at the scene trying to extinguish the fire Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Williams was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder and tampering with evidence, according to arrest records. He's being held at the Maricopa County Jail on $1 million bail.
Both evidence found at the scene and interviews led to Williams's arrest, police said.
