Check Your Tickets: 5 Big Lottery Winners In Arizona Confirmed

According to Arizona lottery officials, a $1 million ticket was sold in the state as well as four $50,000 tickets.

PHOENIZ, AZ — If you're feeling lucky and just played the Powerball recently, you better check your ticket. You could be a millionaire.

Arizona lottery officials confirm that a million dollar ticket was sold at a store in Gilbert.

The Powerball ticket, one of five in the U.S., matched all five white balls in Monday night's drawing, missing out on the red ball and the nearly $700 million massive jackpot.

Four winning tickets worth $50,000 were also sold in stores throughout Arizona, state lottery spokesman John Gilliland told Patch.

The five winners in Arizona have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes.

Here's where the winning tickets were purchased:

$1 million ticket:

  • Fry's Food Store, 3261 E Pecos Rd., Gilbert

$50,000 tickets:

  • Albertsons, 6600 E Grant Rd., Tucson
  • Del Sol Marketplace, 5405 W Valencia Rd., Tucson
  • 7-Eleven, 1157 N Gilbert Rd., Gilbert
  • Circle K, 2524 W Thunderbird Rd., Phoenix

It was a player who purchased a ticket in California who won the big $699.8 million prize, matching all six winning numbers (66-12-22-54-69, Powerball 15) from Monday night’s drawing.

The win makes the 5th largest Powerball jackpot and the 7th largest jackpot in overall lottery history, lottery officials confirmed.
