A Deadly, Dangerous Saturday: Four People Shot In Phoenix
The first Saturday in April was a dangerous one in Phoenix, with four people shot in three separate shootings, according to police.
PHOENIX, AZ — Four people were shot in Phoenix on Saturday in three separate shootings, according to Phoenix police. Two of those people are dead and two of them were hospitalized for their injuries, police said.
In addition to the shootings on Saturday, a 66-year-old bicyclist was killed in a hit-and-run and a man was arrested on suspicion of murder after he was found trying to extinguish a fire in a house where a body was found, according to police.
The first shootings on Saturday happened around 3:15 a.m. when two 18-year-old men were shot near a large party at a vacant house near 44th Street and Southern Avenue, police said.

Bryson Footracer was taken to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries, police said.
The other man, who police did not identify, was also taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not believed to be life threatening.

Another man was shot and killed around 12:15 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 75th Avenue and Indian School Road, according to police.
The 39-year-old man, who police did not identify, was taken to a local hospital were he died from his injuries, police said. Police did not provide any more information about the shooting.
Another man was seriously injured in a shooting around 10 p.m. Saturday, near 13000 N. 20th St., according to police.
The 42-year-old man, who police did not identify, was taken to a local hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries, police said.
