Donation Scam: Maricopa Animal Shelter Warns Residents
Some people are going door to door asking for donations for the animal shelter. The thing is that they're not with the shelter.
PHOENIX, AZ — Maricopa County Animal Care and Control is warning residents of grifters claiming to be with the shelter asking for donations.
Shelter officials say an individual, or individuals, are going door to door and asking for monetary donations to the shelter.
"PLEASE KNOW, we do not have anyone going around asking for donations of any kind," the shelter posted on their Facebook.
