Herberger Area Public Safety Exercise Restricts Traffic Tuesday
A Phoenix PD and Fire public safety training exercise Tuesday will restrict and later stop traffic in the Herberger Theater area.

PHOENIX, AZ – The Phoenix PD and Fire departments’ Homeland Defense Bureau and Training Bureau will partner with the Herberger Theater in holding a public safety training exercise Tuesday. The 12-hour police and fire staff training at the theater will result in traffic restrictions and closures. Here’s what you need to know.
The exercises will train Phoenix PD and Fire staff and officers in crisis response. The training, held at the Herberger Theater at 222 E. Monroe St. in Phoenix, runs from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Parking restrictions align with the training’s time and include Monroe and Van Buren streets from 2nd to 3rd St., and 2nd and 3rd streets from Monroe to Van Buren. Road closures in the same area start at 2 p.m.
Access to the 2nd street parking garage will stay open.
