"There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about her and what she stood for, what she represented," he told AZ Family. I know she would be one of the people that I'm going to take meals to today. She would be one of the people on the front lines."
In an interview with AZ Central, Fitzgerald said he is especially with helping traditionally underserved communities during the crisis.
“[My mother] was always about serving the underserved, and everybody’s being hit by this," he told the publication. "The people that are underserved are especially being hit hard with the food banks being depleted of their foods, no school, no meals for the kids. So many areas are being hit right now, so I know would be something she would be attacking and doing everything she could to try to serve."
"These are our true heroes & we would not be here if it weren’t for all the courageous doctors, nurses & staff who are giving it their all to save lives every day."@LarryFitzgerald helped deliver meals to frontline healthcare workers and hospitals in Scottsdale. #AllAZ pic.twitter.com/CTksZlWdOj
