Community College In Phoenix Ranks No. 3 For Its LPN Program

A Phoenix area community college's LPN program was ranked No. 3 in the state. Do you know which one it is?

PHOENIX, AZ – Practicalnursing.org has released its sixth annual LPN nursing program rankings by state. Phoenix’s GateWay Community College (GWCC) came in at No. 3 on the 2019 list, with an overall score of 98.91. GWCC ranked just below top-seated Eastern Arizona College in Thatcher and second-ranked Arizona Western College in Yuma, both earning a score of 100.00 percent.

The rankings are based on the school’s rates of passing the NCLEX-PN, a standard state board exam for nursing. The ranking for 2019 was based on data from 2014-2018.

A Maricopa Community College, GWCC offers a Fast Track Practical Nursing (LPN) program that students can finish in 18 months. The program costs about $3,750 for Maricopa County residents, not including books. Classes are held at the Washington Campus at 108 N. 40th St. in Phoenix. See more Arizona rankings.
