Man Dies After Found Shot, Laying On The Road In Ahwatukee

PHOENIX, AZ — An 18-year-old man is dead after he was found shot and laying in the street near 4438 East Dry Creek Road in Ahwatukee Monday evening, according to police.

Anthony Covarrubias was found around 6:25 p.m. and was taken to a local hospital to be treated for multiple gunshot wounds. He later died from his injuries, police said.

Police had not identified any suspects in the shooting as of Tuesday morning, police said in a news release.
