Maricopa County Seeks More Voting Locations For 2022 Elections
The county is asking facility owners to sign up to be a voting location. It's looking to add around 50 new locations this year.
PHOENIX, AZ — Maricopa County is looking to secure 50 more voting locations for its 2022 elections and is asking facility owners to volunteer their spaces, according to a news release from the county.
The county has already secured 151 voting centers for the August primary and November general election, but wants to add more because of the possibility of increased in-person voting, in addition to population growth.
The county has already increased its voting location options by 50 percent over the 99 locations available during the 2020 primary, but it wants to increase the number to 200 this year.

Locations must have at least 1,600 square feet of space, comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, have air conditioning, bathrooms and ample parking.
"The County is looking for sites with the ability to serve voters for 27 days, 12 days, 2 days or just on Election Day," the county said in its news release.
