Here are the top three stories in Phoenix today:

  1. In response to an upsurge in opioid overdoses nationwide, the Vice Mayor of Phoenix worked with local organizations Valle de Sol and Terros Health to train individuals on how to use Narcan on Monday morning. The training emphasized the education aspect of the dangers of opioids and fentanyl to the public and the proper usage of the overdose reversal drug. You can purchase Narcan over-the-counter at pharmacies in Phoenix; however, if you go to one of Valle de Sol's locations in Mesa or here in Phoenix you can receive a kit for free. 2. Phoenix is looking to see a familiar spot open its third location in 2024 as award-winning Arizona Wilderness Brewing Co. is set to open a new restaurant and Taproom in the Miracle Mile district. The Gilbert-based company is refurbishing the 10,000-square-foot building at 1428 East McDowell Road and expanding on its already nationally known brewery. The company is continuing to keep its commitment to the community and only using main ingredients from vendors in the state as well as using the carbon dioxide cycled from all three locations to keep a closed chain. Although the full establishment hopes to be ready by fall 2024, owners are hopeful that the taproom side will be open to begin brewing a bit earlier than the restaurant. (Phoenix New Times)
  3. Due to high demand music superstar Drake has added a second tour date to Glendale in September for his upcoming "It's All A Blur" concert. The world-renowned artist is going on tour with fellow rapper 21 Savage to tour their newest album "Her Lost," and the second Phoenix date is one of 12 more stops that have been added to the tour. The two artists will now be performing at Dessert Diamond Arena on Sep. 5 and 6. Presale tickets for the new date will go on sale tomorrow and general admission tickets will go on sale this Friday.
