Newborn Baby Found Dead Inside Bag In North Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ — A newborn baby was found dead inside a bag behind some bushes, Phoenix police said.

The newborn was found near 25th and Peoria avenues at 6:30 a.m. Friday and apparently died there before officers found it, police said.

An investigation is underway to determine the cause of death. No suspects were named or charged, police said.
