Night Temps To Drop Into 30s: Cooler Weather Headed For Phoenix

Average temperatures will start off the week, but they are expected to drop well below normal Wednesday and Thursday.

PHOENIX, AZ — Get ready for a chill later this week, as temperatures in the Valley are expected to fall to around 10 degrees below normal for this time of year, according to the National Weather Service.

The work week started out with typical seasonal temperatures, with an expected high on Monday of 71 and an overnight low of 49. Things were expected to cool off a bit on Tuesday with a forecast high of 69 and a low around 44.

But the real chill is forecast to set in Wednesday, with a high of 63 and a low of 38, with breezes of 10-15 mph during the day and 5-10 mph overnight, the weather service predicted. Cool weather was expected to continue Thursday with a high of 61 and a low of 38.

Normal highs this time of year are around 69 degrees with lows around 48 degrees, the weather service said.

Friday and Saturday are expected to be a bit warmer with highs of 66 and 67 degrees, respectively and overnight lows of 38 and 41.
