Phoenix Metro Area Forecast To Hit 90 Degrees This week

The Valley typically hits the 90 degree mark by March 30, according to the National Weather Service.

PHOENIX, AZ — It's springtime in the Valley of the Sun, and that means things are going to heat up quickly.

Phoenix is forecast to hit 93 degrees on Friday, the first time the Valley has hit 90 degrees in 2022. Temperatures are expected to remain warm over the weekend with a toasty high of 96 degrees on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Phoenix typically hits 90 degrees by March 30, according to weather service averages from 1986 through present. The earliest date on record that the city hit that temperature was Feb. 17, 2016.

Phoenix generally hits 95 degrees by April 12 and 100 degrees by May 2, according to weather service records.

The week is expected to gradually heat up, with highs of 81 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday and a high of 86 degrees on Thursday. Overnight lows are expected to be in the low-to-mid 50s for most of the week, heating up to around 60 degrees on Friday and Saturday night.
