Phoenix Pride 2019: Festival And Parade Info, Details
Here's what to know about the 39th annual Phoenix Pride Festival and Parade.
PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix Pride 2019 is just around the corner, which means over 150 performers on six stages over the weekend. Set for Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, Pride 2019 is sure to be a good time.
"This year’s Phoenix Pride Festival will continue to be a two day celebration designed to bring our diverse LGBTQ and allied communities together for a weekend of camaraderie and celebration of our past, present and future," the event website says. They'll also raise funds for "Phoenix Pride Community Programs," and to help support civil rights causes.

The Pride Festival will run from noon to 9 p.m. both days this weekend, at Steele Indian School Park.
There will be over 150 staged performances and over 300 exhibitors, featuring food, local shopping and local resources.

Phoenix Pride Festival 2019 tickets start at $25 per day. Express entry for one day is $30, and for both days is $40. Two-day VIP tickets are $90. However, if the ticket price is taxing, event organizers say, you can put in four hours of volunteer work for free admission.
Kids 12 and under get free admission and teens 13 to 17 get discounted entry.
No pets are allowed in the festival, though service dogs are an exception.
Three of the six stages will have American sign language interpreters.
What would a pride fest be without a parade? The Pride Parade will step off at 10 a.m. Sunday at Third Street and Thomas, and will end at Third Street and Indian School.
The Grand Marshal of the parade is Monica Helms, who created the Transgender Pride Flag in 1999. The flag was first flown at the 2000 Phoenix Pride Parade
The Organization Grand Marshal will be Echo Magazine, who has been serving the LGBTQ community for 30 years, event organizers say.
