PHOENIX, AZ — Phoenix’s Samantha Hover is one of the newest members of Biola University’s NCAA Division II volleyball team. Hover, class of 2022, will serve as a libero on the team, and is a Biblical & Theological Studies major.

Biola’s Eagles volleyball team will start competing Sept. 5. The team’s head coach, Aaron Seltzer, has led the team for 18 years. Last year, the team finished second in the PacWest Conference with a 15-5 record. Biola University became a full-fledged NCAA member this summer, having been a provisional NCAA member in previous years.

With a campus in Los Angeles and additional students worldwide, Biola University is a Christ-centered university that provides a biblically focused education. It has appeared on U.S. News & World Report’s list of “up and coming” universities four times inside of five years and has nine schools, 150 academic programs and more than 6,300 students, the university reports.
