Phoenix Woman Arrested On Attempted Child-Tasering Charges

A Phoenix woman was arrested after allegedly running after four children while holding a taser, then trying to tase them.

Fifty-one-year-old Nancy Guadalupe Leyva of Phoenix was arrested last Wednesday after she allegedly ran after four children while holding a taser, then tried to tase them. The incident occurred in the area of 28th Street and Roosevelt at an apartment complex.

While playing outside the apartments, the children, ages 3, 4, 6 and 11, saw Leyva coming toward them as she sparked the taser. The children ran away from Leyva and a neighbor let them in just when Leyva was only a few feet away. Now the woman has been charged with four felony counts of aggravated assault against a minor.
