Here are the top three stories today in Phoenix:

  1. The City of Phoenix has approved a $39 million contract to expand the use of police body-worn cameras and improve the technology used to share footage from them. Since the cameras were introduced five years ago, their impact on police shootings and complaints remains contentious, but they have been widely adopted by law enforcement agencies. The upgraded cameras will come with unlimited cloud storage and a system for easier sharing of footage with other agencies, but challenges remain in redacting sensitive information and educating juries about the limitations of the footage in court. 2. Colson Group USA, a manufacturer of caster, wheel, and hardware products, has leased approximately 118,833 square feet of space at the West 202 logistics park in Phoenix. The company will use the space for distribution purposes and is set to occupy it in the fourth quarter of this year. The logistics park, developed by CapRock Partners, is located near I-10 and the Loop 202 and will eventually total 3.4 million square feet upon completing the second phase, including three additional buildings. 3. On Friday night, a Phoenix police officer was injured in a crash in north Phoenix near 7th Avenue and Bell Road. The accident occurred when the other vehicle made a left turn in front of the police officer's car. The injured officer was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure but has since been released. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured but was processed for DUI as part of the investigation, and their identity has not been disclosed. (ABC15 Arizona in Phoenix)
