Rain And Chill In The Valley To Follow Unseasonable Warmth

Rain is fairly likely this weekend in the Phoenix metro area, and highs will drop into the 60s after climbing up to upper 80s this week.

PHOENIX, AZ — It's going to be chilly in Phoenix this weekend, especially compared to this week, with a good chance of rain in the forecast as well, according to the National Weather Service.

After unseasonably warm highs this week that reached the upper 80s, temperatures were set to drop around 20 degrees this weekend, with highs in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s, the weather service predicted.

There was a 60 percent chance of rain on Friday evening, with a continuing 40 percent chance overnight and into Saturday.

The overnight low on Friday was expected to be around 50 degrees, with a high on Saturday of 69 and a Saturday night low of 44 degrees.

Friday and Saturday night were both expected to be breezy, with the possibility of gusts up to 20 mph.

Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 64 degrees and an overnight low of 45.
