Smashing Pumpkins Announce Phoenix Tour Date
The alternative rockers announced details of an upcoming North American tour, which will feature special guests Jane's Addiction.
PHOENIX, AZ —Alternative rockers Smashing Pumpkins on Wednesday announced details of the band's 32-date fall North American tour, and it includes a stop in Phoenix.
The "Spirits on Fire Tour" will feature special guests Jane's Addiction and have Poppy and Meg Myers serving as opening acts on different dates.
The tour's penultimate show is scheduled for Nov. 18 at the Footprint Center. A presale for tickets is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. PT Thursday, with tickets going on general sale at 10 a.m. PT Friday.

The Pumpkins, famous for 90s rock anthems like "Today," "1979" and "Disarm," announced the tour Wednesday on "The Howard Stern Show."
Later in the day, current band members Billy Corgan, Jimmy Chamberlin and Jeff Schroeder, put their handprints in cement during a commemorative ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.

The band is scheduled to perform Thursday on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," on CBS.
Last month, Schroeder, the band's longtime guitarist, said Smashing Pumpkins had finished their yet-unnamed 12th studio album.
The band's last album was 2020's "CYR." At the time of that album's release, Corgan said the Pumpkins' next album would be a sequel to both their 1995 album "Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness" and their 2000 album "Machina."
Smashing Pumpkins' fall tour is scheduled to begin Oct. 2 at American Airlines Arena in Dallas, and conclude on Nov. 19 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
According to SPIN magazine, Jane's Addiction has only played a handful of shows since 2017 and has not released new music in nearly a decade.
