Two Men On FBI’s ‘10 Most Wanted’ List Have Phoenix Ties
Alejandro Rosales Castillo and Jason Derek Brown are both on the FBI's "Ten Most Wanted Fugitives" list, and both have ties to Phoenix.
PHOENIX, AZ — Since its 1950 creation after a journalist asked the FBI for a list of the agency’s “toughest guys” they were pursuing, the FBI’s “Ten Most Wanted Fugitives List” has included 523 fugitives. Four hundred eighty-eight of those were located or apprehended. Of those, 162 were found or arrested because of information provided to the FBI by citizens. Alejandro Rosales Castillo, 5’6”, 180-190 lbs and of Hispanic or white ethnicity, was born in Arizona and has connections to Phoenix, according to the FBI. His hair might be shaved on the sides and short. He is a suspect in a coworker’s murder in 2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Two days after the female victim’s vehicle turned up at a Phoenix bus station on Aug. 15, 2016, the victim’s body, complete with a head gunshot wound, was found in the woods of Cabarrus County, North Carolina.
Castillo speaks Spanish and English. Though Charlotte, North Carolina was his last known residence, he was seen going into Mexico and might be living in Pabellon de Arteaga or San Francisco de los Romo, Aquascalientes. His aliases include Alexandro Castillo, Alex Castillo, Alejandro Rosales, Alejandro Castillo, Alejandro Rosales-Castillo and Alejandro Rosalescastillo.

Castillo is an escape risk who has violent tendencies and should be considered armed and dangerous, the FBI reports. A $100,000 reward is offered by the FBI for leads that result directly in Castillo’s arrest.
Jason Derek Brown, 5’10”, 170-180 lbs with blond hair and green eyes, was born in California and has connections to California, Utah and Arizona. He is a suspect in a 2004 Phoenix armed robbery and murder involving an armored vehicle guard who was shot and killed outside a movie theater. The suspect then allegedly left the scene of the crime with the money.

Brown holds a master’s degree in international business and speaks fluent French. He formerly belonged to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, for which he fulfilled a Paris, France mission. He has also been in Mexico and might be carrying a .45 caliber handgun and a Glock 9mm. He is a former golf equipment importer and uses aliases including Jason D. Brown, Derek Brown, Greg Johnson, Harline Johnson, Greg Harline Johnson, John Brown and Jay Brown. He has used two different birthdates: July 1, 1969 and January 17, 1971.
He should be considered armed and extremely dangerous, the FBI reports. A $200,000 reward is paid to anyone providing a lead resulting directly in Brown’s arrest.
