Walgreens' First Coronavirus Drive-Throughs Open in Arizona

Phoenix and Tuscon are among the first cities to get Walgreens drive-through testing sites for the new coronavirus.

PHOENIX, AZ — Thanks to Walgreens, Arizonans now have two additional options when it comes to drive-through testing for coronavirus. Today, the company announced the opening of two drive-through sites Phoenix and Tucson, part of a nationwide effort to eventually open a total of fifteen sites in seven states.

Patients should note that these drive-throughs do not operate like a trip to McDonald's. The clinics operate by appointment only, and patients must complete an online health assessment and meet CDC criteria for eligibility, which prioritizes testing for individuals who are symptomatic and at highest risk for spreading the disease.
