Woman Arrested For Allegedly Leaving Child In Phoenix Parking Lot

Miranda Bukus is accused of leaving her son in a stroller in a Phoenix parking lot with wet pants on in May. She was arrested Aug. 2.

PHOENIX, AZ - A woman accused of abandoning her child in May in a Phoenix parking lot was arrested Aug. 2 in Cave Creek. Miranda Jayn Bukus, 25, allegedly left her son in a stroller in a parking lot with wet pants on at Indian School Road and 19th Avenue in May.

A bystander brought the child to safety, then called the police. The boy was declared uninjured after being medically examined, then was submitted to the Arizona Department of Child Safety.

Three months later, Bukus has been booked on one count of Reckless Child Abuse.
